Question:  What do you get when you combine …
…an Optimistic California Investor who believes in quality…
…a Savvy Real Estate Entrepreneur who knows the tax laws…
…a City with great real estate who’s political class finally get it…
…and a “Get-R-Done” Remodeling/Construction firm with the expertise and motivation to bring these gems back to their former glory?

Answer: The 419 Porter Avenue Remodeling Project, the start of something made in heaven.

A complete interior and exterior renovation, the 6,000 sq.ft. 419 Porter Avenue Remodeling Project started in late November and has a projected finish date of February or March.   The former one family home in the Kleinhans Historic District will be transformed into seven apartments including one first floor elderly/universal design unit.    Tanner Remodeling and Construction estimates a crew of 10-20 trades people will be working on the project with the help of over a dozen additional firms going through Tanner to complete the project. Tanner expects to hire additional qualified people.

“It’s huge for everyone, but especially the city,” stated Scott Tanner, President of Tanner Remodeling and Construction, Inc.  “With projects like this, we can rebuild Buffalo to its former glory… one house at a time.”

“I’m bullish on Buffalo, and its not slowing down,” said Horizon Realty Owner, Mike Hananel.  “With so many people wishing to move back into the city, all the new development and utilizing 1031 tax deferment strategies, I need and am looking for more apartment buildings to buy.

“I want to take Buffalo back to its Golden Era,” said Investor/Owner Gian Franco Bertolino. “It’s a big challenge and initially we’ll be looking beyond the short term numbers, but with knowledgeable and skilled people like Scott and Mike and the positive experience they’ll bring, I’ll be looking to invest more.”
